A free, family-friendly open-space preserve at Black Mountain & Altamont Roads restored and stewarded by nonprofit Grassroots Ecology since 2014; the group runs regular naturalist walks and volunteer habitat-restoration workdays open to all ages (children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult), plus a free Summer Youth Stewards program for middle/high schoolers.
